The Garuda Merah Putih-II Task Force successfully completed a humanitarian aid mission to the Gaza Strip, Palestine, on August 17, 2025, coinciding with Indonesia’s 80th independence anniversary. The collaborative effort involved the Ministry of Defense, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the National Alms Agency (Baznas). Two Indonesian Air Force C-130J Super Hercules aircraft took off from King Abdullah II Air Base in Amman, Jordan, at 10:37 a.m. local time, dropping aid supplies over Gaza before returning safely to base at 12:25 p.m. local time. Colonel Pilot Puguh Yulianto, Commander of the Garuda Merah Putih-II Task Force, reported that the mission proceeded smoothly without significant obstacles. The aid packages included vital supplies like food, medical equipment, blankets, and items for children. This mission was carried out under President Prabowo Subianto’s direct orders, showcasing Indonesia’s commitment to international humanitarian solidarity.
