This connection stems from significant moments in Prabowo’s life, including his time as a military officer and his leadership of the Indonesian Farmers Harmony Association (HKTI). During a grand corn harvest event in Jenggalu Village, Seluma Regency, Bengkulu Province, Uki emphasized the importance of the food security program led by President Prabowo and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka. This program is crucial in reducing Indonesia’s reliance on foreign food supplies, especially in light of global circumstances that could impact food prices. With government support in the form of subsidized fertilizers, pesticides, and agricultural machinery, Uki highlighted the potential for increased yields and motivated farmers. Additionally, efforts are being made to streamline administrative processes to ensure farmers can access subsidized fertilizers efficiently. The National Food Agency is collaborating with the State Logistics Agency to absorb farmers’ corn harvests and integrate the supply chains of farmers and livestock breeders. This initiative aims to create favorable conditions not only for crop production but also for feed costs and livestock prices. The collective efforts of government agencies, local officials, and stakeholders are geared towards enhancing food security and improving the well-being of farmers in Indonesia.
