President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, embarked on a journey to Bandung, West Java, on Wednesday evening via the Whoosh high-speed train, accompanied by members of the public from Halim Station in Jakarta. Dressed in a cream-colored ensemble and a navy blue cap, President Prabowo smoothly navigated through the station at around 7:45 p.m. local time, interacting warmly with fellow passengers and creating a buzz of excitement among commuters.
As he boarded the high-speed train to Tegalluar Station in Bandung at exactly 8:00 p.m., President Prabowo also took the time to pose for photos with the Whoosh crew. His presence on the train electrified the atmosphere, and he waved to onlookers with genuine warmth and engagement before departing for the convention.
President Prabowo is set to inaugurate the 2025 Indonesian Convention on Science, Technology, and Industry (KSTI) at the Sasana Budaya Ganesa (Sabuga), Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), from August 7 to 9. Sharing the stage with prominent figures like Nobel Laureate Konstantin Novoselov and Minister of Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto, he will deliver a keynote address at the event, which revolves around the theme “Economic Growth and Equity Through Mastery of Science and Technology.”
KSTI 2025 promises to be a pivotal platform for strategic discussions on a national and international level, focusing on the crucial role of science and technology in achieving economic development and equity. President Prabowo’s participation in the convention underscores the government’s commitment to fostering innovation and progress in Indonesia.
