President Prabowo Subianto’s visit to Saudi Arabia on July 1, 2025, was met with a warm reception at a Jeddah hotel lobby. Indonesian elementary school children residing in the city welcomed the President with great enthusiasm, waving flags and chanting, “Welcome, Mr. President!” The formal gathering quickly turned into a joyful and emotional event as President Prabowo interacted with the children, smiling and posing for photos. One student, Arsad Hanfana Al-Syarabi, proudly introduced himself, mentioning that his parents work at the Indonesian Embassy in Jeddah. Before moving on with his visit, President Prabowo shared a heartfelt message with the children, encouraging them to excel in their studies.
The encounter was not only touching for the Indonesian community in Jeddah but also for Hanif Hasanuddin from the Muhammadiyah Special Branch (PCIM). Hanif expressed gratitude for the President’s visit and shared hopeful aspirations for Indonesia’s future. Accompanied by high-ranking Indonesian officials, President Prabowo’s visit established a strong bond with the Indonesian community overseas.
