President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, has recently emphasized the government’s commitment to eradicating smuggling and questionable import practices. Speaking at an Economic Dialogue event in Jakarta, Prabowo called on the Directorate General of Customs and Excise to take decisive action against illicit smuggling activities that have burdened local businesses and the public.
